but linux runs to fast
if i watch the time
**1 minute (real time) = 5 minutes (linux) ::
**
i checked the cpu freq with
cat /proc/cpuinfo |grep MHz
and the output was
cpufreq 2194.800 kHz
the cpu is overclocked!!!
how to set a max freq for the cpu in linux?? is this possible???
i want a linux in normal-speed not ultra fast!
a video with 5 minutes length is over in 20 seconds O
pls help!!
CPU: AMD Turion™ 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-64 (1 CPU with 2 Cores)
Host OS: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition SP3
Guest OS: Linux openSUSE 11.4 with VMware Tools installed!
Program: VMware Workstation 7.1.4
At best you have a typo… a 2194.8 kHz system wouldn’t run most versions
of Linux at all since that’s be a 2 MHz system (I had one of those, but
not since the 1980’s).
So you mean MHz (especially since that’s what you grep’d for) and that’s
fine, so now you’re concerned about four extra MHz? If you run that grep
command over and over it is possible you will see that number move up and
down regularly. This is all normal. Going over what the
marketing-created sticker for your CPU reads (2.67, which is
unsurprisingly the same as 2.674 when you round it) is a good starting
place, but being off by less than a percentage is nothing to worry about.
Good luck.
