How to run FireBird RDBMS under 11.2

I’m having a hard time trying to run “FireBird” in my oS 11.2,
it seems that everything its installed just fine “firebird,firebird-classic,firebird-filesystem”
but i didn’t figure out how to startup firebird , there is no rcfirebird or something and it says firebird-classic is xinetd, i have no idea how to start something on xinetd…

tks…

no one that…
pls guys

Hi
Go to YaST->Network Services->Network Services (xinetd) and select the
enable radio button and check the list for the firebird entry and
that it’s status is on, then finish. Then still in YaST System->System
Services (Runlevel) and select expert mode then scroll down the list
and check xinetd is running and enabled for runlevel 3 and 5, if not
start that and you should be good to go.
