How to restore kde control bar?

When I installed 12.3, just as with 12.2, kde gave me a bar across the bottom of the screen which shows tabs for all my running applications. I infer that this is called the “control bar.” Very convenient. But in the process of doing something else, somehow I lost the control bar, eventually found it at the top of the screen and having changed its color scheme so as to be nearly invisible. I can’t seem to find any way to restore this bar to its original location and colors. Any suggestions?

Right click the Desktop and make sure widgets are Unlocked
At the far right end of the Panel (Control bar as you call it) you should see a small semi circular cashew shaped icon > click it
You should get and edge pop out. Look for the screen edge control > click and hold and drag it to the bottom of the screen.

FYI: It could be easier in some respects just choosing to delete the panel you have then if you right click Desktop > add Panel > Default Panel
It will put it back to original

Except that, you may have a theme and desktop effects giving transparency that makes it look almost invisible
Try pressing Alt+SHIFT+F12…does that make it clearer?

Thanks for the response, caf4926. I wanted to request clarification, but I found my account at this forum had become inaccessible (and the remedy suggested here did not help). Eventually I took my question elsewhere, and after a while found the remedy as described there.

I though my directions were fairly accurate - but I know I do struggle with clarity at times
