How to do I reset them to the original leap defaults?

If you mean, the original look when you install it.
Just delete the /home/user/.config/xfce4
Logout/login and you are back to the original.
You also have to take a look at the settings manager-panel profiles and see the original panel, if it is there
and revert to that if you have a missing panel.
