how to repair filesystem manually after crash...

point blank, my opensuse 10.3 decided to leave me alone…when starting booting operations, I always find myself stopped…
I’m asked root pw, then I’m required command in order to “repair filesystem manually”…
problem is: I haven’t got the slightest idea what this command is…
can anyone help!?

Hi paoloracca, welcome to the Forums.

I think you want fsck. Run the command: man fsck, to see what the scope and options are.

if you’re on an XFS partition, fsck will do nothing, so you’ll have to run xfs_repair
