How to remove references of %{buildroot} from binary files in a build root?

Hi,

I have %{buildroot} references in my Fedora 25 Komodo Edit package build root and while I can easily remove them from text files using find and sed, I do not know how to remove them from binary files. Binary file matches are leading to my Fedora 25 OBS build to fail. Any idea how to remove them?
