How to remove KDE 4.0/3.5 using yast or zypper??

Hi all !!
Recently i have installed openSUSE 11.1. I have installed every package present in the dvd…and guess what … i m trouble … my system gets hanged very often…

i want to remove desktop environments namely KDE 4.1 / 3.5 from it…
Please help me in regarding this …

Rather than answering your question, i’d suggest, you do a fresh install. You’ve probably already ignored some dependencies to get as far as you got (every single package installed), so the chance of destabilizing even more your system by removing desktops etc.
In the new install you could use the same partition for /home and not format it, so that your settings will be kept.

Open Yast, select “Patterns” in the drop down menu for “Filter”. There you will find “KDE4”, KDE3, “GENOME”, etc. click on the box for “KDE3 desktop environment:” and “KDE4 desktop environments” till a red cross appears there instead of the “green tick” mark. Then “Accept” the changes and “Continue”. All dependencies will be sorted out by the Yast itself.
