Hi - I’m a very new linux user (openSUSE 11.2/Gnome) and had trouble networking to my windows domain. Got this working now but probably tangled some settings getting there. Nautilus network browser shows two of everything, 2 listings of the machine I’m on and 2 listings of the two WinXPpro systems on the network. The duplicates have the same icon and the same text but the text is capitalized on one of each. Cannot cut or trash the duplicates. Each listing will connect me to the correct computer. Suggestions?
FYI - I errantly changed Host Name and Domain Name under the Hostname/DNS tab in network settings (using Yast) prior to successful networking, but have changed them back to “Linux-upstairs” and “site” respectively. Part of the problem?
