Im having a problem getting my HP DVD writer 200i. The problem is it just thinks its a cd drive and won’t work as a dvd writer at all…it doesn’t even know its a dvd writer. Ive looked up some stuff and its a common problem that can be fixed with a software upgrade for Ricoh 5125A/based DVD-RW drives. I just can’t fins it anywhere. Any other ways to flash it or is there some generic or custom/homebrew firmware i can use to flash it? Any help is welcomed

I don’t know if it’ll work under Wine, I think you may need Windows to do that
