I’ve been trying to paste an image in susepaste.org so I can link to it in the forum. After selecting the image, the CREATE button is
grayed out. Clicking it at first did nothing as far as I could see - no upload of the image, no activity indicator in firefox tab.
According to http://openidexplained.com/get I should already have an OpenID, as I have both yahoo and google accounts.
I tried to login both with my yahoo and google logins as well as with the weird logins the site indicated - for instance, yahoo.com for Yahoo, and something else for Google. Every time I got redirected to a blank page with this text:
Authentication error; not a valid OpenID.
But on the fifth attempt I clicked the grayed-out CREATE button and the upload worked, giving me the image link to post in the forum.
I’ve tried with a second image and it worked too.
So, if I actually need an openID login how do I get it? Or do I already have it, error message notwithstanding, and it logged in anyway? (I think not as the susepaste page did not change, still had the “login” link at the top right)
Slightly off-topic, how do I show a thumbnail of the image as I’ve seen in many posts, like for instance in https://forums.opensuse.org/showthread.php/519385-August-2016-Screenshots?p=2790125#post2790125 ?
Or even paste the full image, as in other posts in the thread above?
Clicking the “insert Image” button in the editor toolbar does not accept a susepast link like http://susepaste.org/71145644 , it complains the link have to point to an image, i.e., a URL pointing to a .jpg file or other.
TIA,
Bruno
