How to make VLC media player be only one window?

Hello

I am using OpenSUSE 11.1 with KDE 4.2.

I use VLC media player to play my video and audio files.

I installed VLC media by adding the VLC repository from the community repositories in YAST Software Repositories.

VLC plays my video and audio alright.

I also use VLC on Windows XP.

My problem is that when I use VLC on Windows XP the video output and the video controls all are in only one window, but when I ue VLC in OpenSUSE 11.1 (both KDE and GNOME), the video output and the video controls are each in their own window, a total of two windows.

I want to know how on OpenSUSE 11.1 I can make VLC only have one window.

Please help me.

Install VLC from the Packman repository. It’s only one screen. The VLC repository version is the player and the window (2 screens).

Thank you ijbreakey that worked.

And remove the VLC repository afterwards, mixing Packman and VLC is known to cause trouble.

Thank you Akoellh for telling me.
