Wine is a bit strange because it is released so frequently. The version
packaged in the standard repositories is quite old, so you may need to
add a specific repository. There’s a list for the various versions of
suse at

Kudos to Marcus Meissner for keeping it all going.

Cheers, Dave

Remember that wine can not play all windows applications.

Since you have installed Wine, now double click the Fireworks installer, it will ask to open with…enter “wine” in the top field en hit enter. If all is well the installer will start.

Installing from CD, I often run into problems with the first menu where you
have to select a particular piece to install. Most of the time, finding the
correct executable in the directory tree will work as you describe - you
just have to track down the actual install program that the top level menu
program bombs out. You might try that route if the install dies after the
first menu selection.

Second command should be

zypper addrepo -f http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Emulators:/Wine/openSUSE_11.3/ wine

(Define repo name)

Thank you for correction!!
