how to install vlc on opensuse11.3

how to install vlc on opensuse11.3??

Try this guide. It will install vlc as well as other things needed to play certain file formats etc…:
Multi-media and Restricted Format Installation Guide

why it is too difficult, while in ubntu, and windows its just 1 click installation.
also u given me link to the tutorial to install in 11.0, i am using 11.3.

Scroll down the page and you will find instructions for 11.3. That page gives instructions for 11.0, 11.1, 11.2 and 11.3.

okay i got, but please tell me that when i click
Index of /distribution/11.3/repo/oss
it shows a huge list, i have to install all files given here manually???

No you don’t. Start from where it says:

From the Beginning do this FIRST:

i have done all from

zypper ar -f http://opensuse-guide.org/repo/11.3/ libdvdcss

to

zypper ref

and from

zypper in libdvdcss

to

zypper ref

successfully
now please tell me what to do now

This might be easier for you
Restricted formats/11.3 - openSUSE Community Wiki

choose depending if you use kde or gnome

You can use that link that @caf4926 gave you or if you wish to continue with the guide then run this first in the terminal:

zypper in lame libavcodec52 libavdevice52 ffmpeg libdvdnav4 libdvdread4 libquicktime0 libxine1 libxine1-codecs libxvidcore4 smplayer vlc w32codec-all xine-ui xvidcore

Then run

yast2

and go to Software -> Software Management. Then once you are in there click the “View” dropdown button and select Repositories. Click on the packman repo in the list. Click on “Switch system packages”.

However if you find this too hard use the link that @caf4926 gave you and that will work fine.

Thanks to ah7013 and caf4926.
