How to install Suse 11 on extended vol

On a 230 Gb hard disk a made a primaire partition and a exdended partition.

On sda1 is installed Linux - Pardus
On sda5 is Swap
On sda6 is installed Chrunchbang - Ubuntu

On sda7 I like to instal Suse 11. I tried it but i don,t see the way this works in Suse, it wil use all the LVm from sda 6 / 12 in one time.

Forget about the suggested partition setup. Do a ‘Rescan Devices’ to get back what you already created yourself. This means you have to add the mount points yourself, but that should be no problem since you already know how it works in other distros.

Indeed the proposed partition setup is confusing. I made the ‘Rescan Devices’. I found a screen that abled me to give a X for sda7 but again Suse wil instal on sda 7-8-9-10-11-12

I notice that I can’t find myself in the instalproces of Suse.

Are you saying the partitioner wants to mount all these as / ? This is definitely weird. Do you use LVM on one of the other linuces on your system?

Sorry that i am not able to make a shreenshot of the situation.

<Are you saying the partitioner wants to mount all these as / ? It looks like that - ore at least it wil mount the system directory’s

<Do you use LVM on one of the other linuces on your system? Yes Crunchbang-Ubuntu is on sda 5.
