how to install rt2870 drivers?

I’m trying to install the Sitecom WL-302 with RT-2870 chipset.
I want to install this USB-wireless-N network card but the only drivers i can find are source code (i think): http://www.ralinktech.com.tw/data/drivers/2008_0925_RT2870_Linux_STA_v1.4.0.0.tar.bz2

I tried to install (using the configure->make->make install method) them but failed. I also tried to find other drivers but can’t find anything.

I have a very crappy wireless G connection with an other card now, but it get’s disconnected a lot. That’s why i want the usb-card to work.
If you need more information, just ask (as i don’t know what else you could need).

I hope someone knows how to help me.

when compiling, the very basic you need is :- kernel sources,gcc/gcc++ & make. Have a read here as well Main Page - Realtek Linux wireless driver Another thing, have a read of the stickies at the start of the wireless section, could be some help in there
