How to install .repo files?

Hi everyone,

I just downloaded a file that ends with .Repo, I believe it’s a repository file. How should I install this type of file and where/which directory it should be extracted or saved to?

My apology for being a suzee nubbee (Windoz refugee)!

And thanks a lot!

You don’t. Forget that. Tell us…
What exactly do you want to do?

Hello caf4926,

This is the file I got from bugzilla.novell.com regarding a possible fix for a wireless driver problem:

baseurl=http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/Akoellh:/Kernelmodules/openSUSE_11.2_Update/

I have not decided to try the fix yet.

You need to add that repo to your list by the url method
Index of /repositories/home:/Akoellh:/Kernelmodules/openSUSE_11.2_Update

Here is a guide on repos

Merci beaucoup, Monsieur!

Gracias!
