I tried to install official builds for Raspberry and JeOS on OrangePi 5, but nothing started.
Maybe someone managed to install openSUSE Leap or Tumbleweed on OrangePi 5,
please tell me a link to the official working version or your build in OBS.

See reddit:
Mainline kernels don’t run this hardware. It may have changed in 6.4 but we’ll have to wait.
On my x86 desktop I see:
$ uname -r
6.3.6-1-default
Thanks for the link, but I would like to discuss this topic on this official openSUSE forum.
By the way, has anyone tried to do it, as it says in that link, I quote:
bmwiedemann: You could still run the aarch64 userspace on top of whatever kernel comes with your system. Either with chroot within the existing OS or as a complete replacement (more tricky to get right as you need to keep /boot and /lib/modules).
I would like to hear a professional opinion and step-by-step instructions on how to do this if there are no ready-made official assemblies running under OrangePi 5
This is a user to user forum. And while some members may be professionals of some sort or the other, it is far from sure that any of them has ever tried this.
You are free to ask of course. And when somebody here has any contribution to make, she/he will doubtless do so.
I cannot find whether the Rockchip RK3588S is aarch64. If so there is an openSUSE download for it.
I tried these builds and none of them started for me
