Don’t think it can be at least from the iso file on a drive/file system. I suppose you could create an install hard drive by copying the iso to the hard drive device (not a partition on the device) But that would destroy all other data on the drive…

Yes, so you could have a small partition just a bit bigger than the iso image, then install to other partitions on the disk or another disk in the system.
