How to install old application with new Yast

Hi there,
I currently try to install my old applixware-office-suite (Vers. 4.4.1) on OpenSuse 11. I try to get this from my original Linux Office Suite 99 -CD per yast.
I’m doing this for several years on older distributions (like 7.1, 8.4, 9.0, etc.), but now it seems to be necessary to install all dependencies on the command line, cause yast doesn’t accept my media as source.:frowning:
Is there any solution available to make rpm search for solutions for dependencies on a CD beyond yast? Any other solution to install Applix is welcome as well!

Thanks a lot for answers.

with greetings from the persistent update - hell

Is it not Abiword that you are after, is it not the same?

Hi wise penguin,
no is it not abiword it is Applixware Office, later distributed by Vista Source. I do my complete office-work with this piece of software and so I don’t like to get it all messed up with a new one.
But I think it’s more general problem. I think it’s a major thread in life today to update your software,- and what brings the new update ? – new problems!
