I am new to suse. All my life I have been on windows:shame: But Now I want to use SUSE. Please help in in ltting me know how do I install new applications in suse. When I click on start. In window I get "install new aplications"but when I go there it starts downloading some applications.
I want to install phpmyadmin.
Community please help.

You might want to get multi-media working

I think you are referring to updating repo, when you click.
That is not downloading applications, System is updating your repo list for application. Don’t worry about that.
