how to install mplayer opensuse 11.3

How can I install Mplayer for openSUSE 11.3 x86_64
The 1 click install from packman is not working and the download install is asking for
libopencore-amrnb.so.0 but llibopencore-amrnb0(x86-64) = 0.1.2-1.pm.3.1 is installed

Have you tried installing using YaST>Software manager which lists a whole series of dependencies if you select it and then installs them all?

Multi-media and Restricted Format Installation Guide

Is it so hard to fix the one click install ?
Always used that one since opensuse 10.

I can 't help it that we still have to install Mplayer or VLC which is not necessary when you have a Apple for playing video without worrying about codecs
Where do we else pay 50 euro’s for?

The problem is codec and patents.

@anton
Not sure what you want now?!

Report to the people that made it.

You can also buy openSUSE but it is not necessary I know.
I already did report to henne@links2linux.de two weeks ago.

I am just looking for a one click install MPlayer for openSUSE 11.3 x86_64
because otherwise we cannot play most video’s.
I prefer Packman it always worked great for me untill openSUSE 11.3 x86_64 thats all.
Maybe I am trying to install the wrong MPlayer I am using KDE 4.4 maybe I need kde4-kmplayer ?

Just follow this.
What’s with the OneClick anyway.

PackMan :: Informationen zum Paket MPlayer

Please see my first post.

OK
But I have installed it in 6 machines this week with my own guide. Never use Oneclicks though.

I have 40 workstations thats why I prefer the one click install.

Hi
You should create a local repository via rsync of the files you want,
then on each machine add the local repository?

Dude - and you are asking us how?!

I meant 4 desktops sorry for that.
Problem is solved for me manually installed mplayer but probably there are a lot of other openSUSE 11.3 users and newbies who also wanted to try mplayer
I think it is always good to tell it if something is not working as it should.

This one ( choose mplayer ) is working for one click install:

software.opensuse.org: Zoekresultaten

You can start MPlayer with ALT+F2 : gmplayer

He could download the one click install metadata, repair it, and use the repaired one.

Put the repaired link in his own apache local server pointing to his own local repo.

Or find out exactly what packages need to be installed, put them in a local server, and use rpm
–install list-of-packages to install them.

Many ways. Forty stations? Admin level, so he must have that expertise.

But what good is to tell us? You have to tell the people that can correct it.
