Chromium is not identical with chrome! Chromium is open source, chrome is
the proprietary driver.
If you want chrome extensions install chrome from google not chromium from
the repositories.

I wanted to say “the proprietary browser” not driver
And I forgot the link

Thanks for the answer.
only this last version of chromium has this problem, extensions and bookmarks sync used to work fine before, in fact I installed chromium two days ago and all the extensions and bookmarks where synced from my windows chrome install the first time I ran the browser then after that just stopped working.
As a matter of record, this problem is unique to openSUSE 11.4, as I have this version of Chromium performing flawlessly in Ubuntu 11.04, Fedora 15 [Gnome 3], Zenwalk 7.0 and Vector Linux 7.0 as well as Windows 7 Ultimate on this very box !!
Chromium ought never to be confused with Google Chrome.
I confirm that. Don’t know why extensions don’t work anymore in chromium (13.0.751.0 - openSUSE 11.4), while they use to work in older versions (7.0.528.0 - openSUSE 11.3).
Seems to be fixed with version 13.0.782.0.
