How to get Nomad (XRDP) working under OpenSUSE 11.1

Hi,

I am having problems trying to get Nomad (XRDP) working under openSUSE 11.1.

When I try to connect I get the following:

I get the login in screen type in my username and password and get the following.

rdpx11 chanel is not present
sesman connect ok
sending login info to sesman
login successful for display 10
started connecting
rdpx11 channel is not present
error staringt X11 RDP server

I tried this but it did not work:

Unable to connect through RDP with less than 24 bit color depth

Here are the versions I am running.

rpm -qa | egrep “rdesktop|xorg-x11-server-|xrdp”

xorg-x11-server-dmx-7.4.17.3
rdesktop-1.6.0-37.4
xorg-x11-server-7.4-17.3
xorg-x11-server-rdp-7.3.99-2.23
xrdp-0.4.1-16.7.1
xrdp-0.4.1-16.7.1

BTW: I was trying RDP from a Windows Vista Box.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Ward

I’ve sussed out a set of RPMs that work together, a mix from the factory repo and the update repo. I got you error until I mixed them that way. I last tried them a week or 2 ago. They are described here:
Windows Linux RDP Remote Desktop Connections using openSUSE as Client or Server (terminal server)
