I setup my server with SUSE 10 in my home, and make it work in “DHCP” get the IP automatically, and the server work very well.
But after I moved the server to a Computer center and set the IP, gateway, netmask with yast, the network only can work in 20 minutes, then I can’t ping or use the SSH, untill I restat the netcard.
I hope my poor English can make you know the difficulties that I faced

Have you tried using DHCP in this computer center?
Is there a VMPS service, blocking unknown MAC’s ?
Is the connection you use, fixed at a certain speed?
