How to find all avaliable software update on KDE desktop?

Hi, everyone,

When I use the Gnome desktop of openSUSE, all the newer software update available could be found in the “Yast->Software Management” . So I can make all the applications up to date easily.

Now I use the KDE desktop for 3D graphics development, it has better performance than Gnome. However, I can not find the same functions in “Yast->Software Management” as Gnome does. How can I find all the software update available now?

Thanks!

Yast - Software - Online Update

or

in a su - terminal do

zypper up

Thanks for your reply.

“zypper up” works.
By the way. I think the function design of Yast in KDE is not easy to use as in Gnome.

You will almost certainly be alone in this opinion.

Hi,

Make sure to go to Yast Software Repositories first and click Refresh>Refresh All Enabled. Then click ok. Open Yast Software Management, then at the very top, the second option click Package>All Packages>Update if newer version available.

That’s how I handle it in KDE via the GUI.

Take Care,

Ian
