How to download stuff onto OpenSUSE 11.1

I would like to know exactly how to download files and applications from Firefox.

I use Gnome.

Thank you.

I am a little confused on what you are looking to download. You want to download files using Firefox? Something like this - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/201/

In Gnome you can open up a terminal window and then use wget followed by the file you want to download. ex.) wget http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/11.3/iso/openSUSE-11.3-Addon-NonOss-BiArch-i586-x86_64.iso would download teh NonOss CD for 64 bit systems.

Generally Applications are installed via Yast-Software Management from repositories.

I guess we need more information on what you are wanting to do.

maybe an example???

I see that this is your first post; so first of all: welcome to this forum.

I would like to know exactly how to download files and applications from Firefox.

To download files: same procedure as always. Right click the link, select “Save link target as …”

Applications: Some in the openSUSE world are available as “one click install”; just what it says. Or do you mean something else? Do not hesitate to ask again.

I have the same question. I would like to know how to install Google Chrome or any other programs like it. Thx:)

I doubt it. You can not on an obsolete product such as oS 11.1.
