Because I do not think that Thunderbird 78 has matured enough, and has again changed the third party access. (plugins)I have read that once you started 78, there is no way back to 68, unless you use a backup.I do not want to lose mails and/or functionality so I want to keep the current 68 for the time being. What is the best way to accomplish this in Tumbleweed. So that I can keep using zypper dup without scanning through all changes for a possible unwanted upgrade.
Lock the package(s)?
You can lock the packages in YAST Software.
In my case, Thunderbird 78 is not fully functional and has bugs: https://forums.opensuse.org/showthread.php/545617-Thunderbird-78-3-1
At the current time point, I can suggest to stick to Thunderbird 68.
Best,
Michael
