Hi guys. I need to create a script which should run a program (amsn messenger) each time a specific user logs on to kde, but after hours of googling I am still not sure where to put it. Please a little advice. I’m using suse 10.2. Thanks for help.
Hi,
For KDE, the autostart scripts go into ~/.autostart (/home/‘user’/.autostart)
Just type ~/.autostart into a konqueror window and it should come up. (Alternatively, you can click “Go → Autostart” in Konqueror anyway).
Hope this helps.
Thanks i-ghost, but I don’t have /home/‘user’/.autostart, should I create one? Thanks again.
I found the folder It is in /home/‘user’/.kde/Autostart/, and it works, thanks i-ghost
hy!
I want to start wbar automatically after gnome loads. How can i delay it for that time when the background is loaded (because if its load before the backround wbar will be simply green ad have to right click on it) now i have a wbar.desktop file in $user/.config/autostart:
[Desktop Entry]
Type=Application
Encoding=UTF-8
Version=1.0
Name=No Name
Name[en_US]=wbar
Exec=/usr/bin/wbar --above-desk -bpress
