I have currently some problems with one of the two hard disks of my RAID 1 volume managed directly by the Intel ICH10R chipset (=> RAID hard and not soft).
The system is working almost as before the problems, but I would like to remove the faulty disk. Unfortunately I do not have a spare disk at the moment.
I read the Intel Matrix Storage Management manual and saw that if I would convert my RAID 1 to a recovery volume using the Intel utility, I could remove the faulty disk safely.
The problem is that this utility exists apparently only for windows!..
=> Does anyone know of a functional clone for opensuse 11.1 x86-64 ?
