After struggling for a while,I found 1 click installer which helped me to connect to my campus in no time.
In my scenario I have Cisco firewall at remote end.
It’s really 1 click install. Here are the simple steps and boom you are connected >>
-Enable NetworkManager 1st of all.
-Now download NetworkManager-vpnc from here software.opensuse.org: As I am using KDE I choose kde package ]
-Reboot your opensuse 12.3 KDE machine
-Now import your cisco PCF file in “vpn” tab under “Network Manager”.
-Double click to connect.
-It’ll prompt you for user password and group password. depending on your configuration ]
I am still working on how to connect to Cisco firewall using SSL VPN via FireFox in opensuse 12.3.
I’ll post detailed steps if I get success with that.
I have installed JDK & icetea but ain’t helping me to launch RDP session to connect to Windows host.
I’m trying to follow your instructions, but you lost me. I’m good through the first paragraph. Now you say Enable networkmanager. Where do I go to enable it? I’m assuming Yast control settings/network devices/network settings, but not sure.
Later: Just found it. Under global options there is a radio button. Mine was set to traditional method.
