How to connect to TATA Photon+ from opensuse 12.3

I am pretty sure several of you will be googling for how to connect to internet using TATA Photon+ i Indian service provider ] internet USB stick via opensuse 12.3

Here are simple steps to configure it >>

  • open Terminal, do su
    -run yast2
    -Click on “Network Settings”
    -Select “User controlled with NetworkManager” option in “Network Settings”
    -Now in taskbar open Network Manager, click on “manage Connections”
    -Click on “Mobile broadband”
    -Select “Installed CDMA device” assuming using Photon+ CDMA USB stick ]
    -Select Photon+ from the list & finish the config
    -Now click on connect and you are done.
