How to connect to multiple interfaces with kNetworkManager?

In OpenSuse 11, KDE, kNetworkManager,
I have two NICs, the wired one is supposed to get a public IP from my ISP via DHCP, the wireless one is supposed to get a private IP from my home router via DHCP, but using kNetworkManager, it seems I can not connect to both at the same time, or I made some mistake?
Thank you.

knetworkmanager will only allow one active interface at a time, and it will prefer the wired one over the wireless one. This is by design; for cases where you require multiple interfaces, you’ll need to use Yast to configure them manually, and not use NetworkManager.

Configure both of them manually for DHCP, and Yast will still configure them so that the wired interface will be prefered for the primary gateway, but you should still have access to your private subnet over wifi.

Hope this helps…

It kinda works here: My cable connection is set to connect on cable connection through Yast. I can launch the WiFi link in addition through the network manager.
