My Medion S3747 is a Personal Navigation Assistants (PNA) that runs Windows CE 5
Summary description MEDION S3747 (MD 97489) (AKA IGN EVADEO M3320a Premium) Handheld/Fixed 3.5" Touchscreen navigator, Antenna: Internal, Map coverage: Western Europe. Display diagonal: 3.5", Storage media type: Flash, Compatible memory cards: microSDHC,SDHC, Included memory card size: 4 GB.
This device is a two-in-one navigator.
When you wake up the device, you choose between a car navigator or a land-air navigator for hiking, biking, flying.
I am interesting by the second mode (hiking).
I use it for a long time with windows xp and the microsoft activ-sync software . And recently with windows 10 using window mobile device center 6.1 until the recent update AKA Windows 10 Fall Creators Update (v1709).
A long time ago I tried to connect this device with OS 12.x. For that I have to download some mtp libraries.
I rarely get connection, so I left it.
I tried today on leap 42.3
My device has a supplementary SDHC 4 Gb.
Test A
1°) Wake up device → wait in standby position ( you have to choose between car navigator or a land-air navigator )
2°) Insert usb cable in computer
3°) click on device icon : http://paste.opensuse.org/91759751
4°) click on the power off/power on button → this is doing a soft restart
A full screen picture on the device show that the device is connected to the computer
Dolphin show device with mtp protocol
/run/media/user_install/**S3X47**Device
but the SDHC is not recognized (does not show in dolphin browser).
Test B
1°) Wake up device → wait in standby position ( you have to choose between car navigator or a land-air navigator )
2°) Insert usb cable in computer
3°) click on Activ-Sync icon : http://paste.opensuse.org/12024044
A “bip” and very short device message show that the device is trying to connect
4°) click on the power off/power on button → this is doing a shutdown
The device is not recognized at all (does not show in dolphin browser).
Test C
1°) Wake up device → wait in standby position ( you have to choose between car navigator or a land-air navigator )
2°) Insert usb cable in computer
3°) Do nothing
A “bip” show that the device is trying to connect
The device is not recognized at all (does not show in dolphin browser).
Any help is welcome.
If you want me to do some test, ask.
