How to configure HP Envy 4520 to scan

I ran the scanner program but it says it can’t recognize the scanner. the HP Envy printers works, why not the scanner part of it? How do I get the scanner to work?

Use YaST - Hardware - Scanner and simply pick the hpaio driver.

installed hplip, rebooted and scanner now works.
