How to config wlan without DHCP?

Hi,
I got a problem on wlan.
when I enable DHCP in my router, the openSUSE can connect internet automatically.
but for other problem of router, I have to close the DHCP of router.
Then I tried to config the wlan through Yast, but after config the IP add and DNS, it still doesn’t connect to internet.
could you please tell me how to manually config the wlan without DHCP?
thanks a lot!

  • learntofly,

what are you using to connect? Yast? Network manager applet? If the latter, which one? KDE3, KDE4, Gnome?
