Could anyone please suggest, a procedure to captuer the core dump during kernel panic?
One solution is to use api of ksmg_dump.h file. But i have been using Linux-2.6.24 in which this is not present.

What openSUSE release would that be? All supported releases I know use a
kernel from the 3.x series.
