How to change the animations of the "Notifications" icon in the "System Tray"?

I would like to change the animations of the “Notifications” icon in the “System Tray”. (I’m using OpenSUSE 13.2 KDE 64-bit with all updates.)

During a file transfer/copy, this “Notifications” icon displays a star-burst effect at the start and completion of the file transfer.
I would like to change the animations this icon displays during file transfer. (For example: In other distributions, this “Notifications” icon displays rotating lines, plus this icon gradually fills with color as the file transfer progresses.)

I’ve tried:

  • Right-clicking on the “Notifications” icon and entering “Notifications Settings”.
Unfortunately, it only gives two options to turn some notifications off or on. I’m want to select the animations that are displayed in the System Tray, not just turn notifications on and off.

  • Configure Your Desktop -> Application and System Notifications -> Manage Notifications -> Applications -> Event source: <items>
Unfortunately, I can’t find the “Event source:” item for “file transfers”.

I’d appreciate any help on how to change the animations this “Notifications” icon displays during file transfers.
Thank you.

I don’t think you can just change the animation on its own. AFAIK it’s determined by the Plasma theme.

Thank you for the pointer.

I verified that the animations of the panel icons (such as the notification icon) are determined by the DESKTOP theme.

Again, thank you for the help.
