how to change look and feel to mac os x

Hello,

Is there any possibility to turn my normal look and feel of my openSUSE 11.2 to a mac os x look and feel. If yes how can I do that?

Which desktop environment are you using? I have played with cairo-dock in the past, which gives a similar functioning dock for application launching etc.

I’m sure that the mac enthusiasts amongst us can offer more direct help, but in the meantime:

I’m using KDE.

Well, KDE 4.x surpasses the typical OS X look and feel IMHO, but you could start by installing cairo-dock.

If you want a closer graphical desktop emulation of the OS X GUI, then you can achieve that with Gnome + a few tweaks (as per above link).

Thank you very much!

One more hint: there’s a theme engine for window decorations called “Aurorae” which features dozens of different styles, some of them (“Auromac”, “OS Y” “OS X Aurorae”) offer the typical Mac look.

BeSpin and QtCurve (with xBar and xBar Support) can make it so that the menus reside on a panel, for instance at the top of the screen. Unfortunately this only works for KDE apps.
