Hi all.
This I have never done as I was always using KDE. I have fairly slow machine which I wanted to revive, and I installed suse 11.0 with XFCE.
I can’t find my way on it, and just dont like how things work. Just my personal taste. I found also that there was no speed improvements, probably because GPU is stronger then CPU itself.
Anyways, I installed KDE from repository, now I just want to make a switch. How do I do that?
Thanks
just select it from the sessions menu at the login screen
Andy
Thanks. But will it change it to default? if not, how to do it? I mean, I want to uninstall XFCE.

By default it will choose your last used desktop environment.
To get rid of Xfce entirely use the Software Management app (YaST)
inside KDE and select the package group for Xfce. Then flag it for
removal.
