How to change desktop background

KDE desktop

Please advise how to change the background?

I have looked at “Configure Desktop” but couldn’t find an item relevent. Please help. TIA

Or just drag’n’drop a picture file to the desktop (from the filemanager f.e.).
You should then get a popup asking what to do, e.g. create a picture frame plasmoid or use it as background image.

• start “File Manager”
• drag a picture file and drop the same on desktop

Exactly. Or drag it from the File open dialog or from the folderview plasmoid or …

Just a further pt. that this only works if widgets are unlocked.

You’re right of course.

I alsways forget to mention this because I never ever locked them on any of my systems (they are unlocked by default)…
