How to change default app. to open pdf

Could someone tell me how to change the default application that is used to open up a pdf? Whenever I open up a pdf from within Firefox or Opera, the default application they want to use is Gimp. This only happens with these two programs. Opening up a pdf in Dolphin or Konqueror will use Okular, which is what I want to use from within my browsers.

I looked in both “Kcontrol” and the file associations in the system settings and pdf’s are set to use Okular.

Any suggestions?

I can tell you how to do it in Firefox. Go to Edit > Preferences and click the Applications tab. Scroll down to PDF documents.

To the right, it probably says Gimp. Click on that and you should see Okular as one of the options.
