how to apply OpenSUSE 11.3 OS to previously built appliance?

Hi,

I had built several appliances based on OpenSUSE 11.2, 64 bit OS. Now that 11.3 is out, is there an easy way to build the same appliances with OpenSUSE 11.3 64 bit OS?

Do I need to create a new project based on 11.3 and then upload the same files?

I am not sure what you mean by applicates but can you not just change the repositories to 11.3 and do a zypper dup?

Hi, satmanuk,

Thanks for the reply!

I just realized that 11.3 is still not available as template yet.

As I have done all my stuffs using 11.2. When the 11.3 is available as template, I am wondering how to migrate all old stuffs from 11.2 to 11.3.

When 11.3 is out on Studio (1-2 weeks time), there will also be an
option on all 11.2 appliances to upgrade to 11.3. One click and it’s
done. This might land a bit later after 11.3 is out, or maybe at same time.

Cheers,

Thanks James!

That is very cool to have the “one click” option.
