on my laptop 1=ASUS vivobook pro N552VW-FY204T (2016) with freshly installed leap 16.0 running KDE 6.4.2
I would like to add languages,
click on systemsettings>region & language>language>modify>change language
but only C and american english appears
how can I add italian language?
I forgot to say, but also there appear only american english and C
Install the appropriate language packages using zypper or Myrlin first in the system. After that the user may probably find it.
I searched in myrlyn language and italian but nothing seems to be the right thing, what I have to search?
I only tried to inform you about the general way such things work on a Unix/Linux system. The system manager installs software that the users want to use.
I do not know how it is in Myrlin now, but in Leap 15.6 YaST there is the View button that has a Languages view. Using hat I get a list and there are Italian and Italian (Italy).
in 15.6 yast did this ![]()
manythanks it worked, I selected only italian but myrlyn installed all the languages of the world, better so I have many languages to add
