Linux newbie here. I managed to show the default Home/Trash icons on the desktop. But how do I enable shortcuts to apps like Chrome on the desktop? And I can’t see any animations anywhere. ‘Enable animations’ is on under Tweak Tool. How do I enable desktop animations?
Tumbleweed GNOME 64bit running under VM (2 cores + 4 gb RAM)
For icons on the desktop, either browse to /usr/share/applications and copy the desktop file onto the desktop, it won’t show as an icon until you double click on it and trust…
Well the animations are shell specific and minimal, eg the wave effect in the top left (hot) corner, overview etc, since your in a VM I would suggest disabling.
