I’m running OpenSUSE 11.4 under VirtualBox and OpenSUSE does not see my USB drive.
I suspect I need to mount it. Are there instructions posted as to how mount a USB Stick?
Also, I can create a folder in home called test, and then create a text file and store it in test.
Next I shutdown OpenSUSE and close out VirtualBox.
Next I’ll restart VBox and OpenSUSE.
Should the file still be available in test ?

You need to install the Virtual Box Guest Additions for USB support.
The file should still be there
FYI: Files/Folders in Linux are hidden by the use of a period (.)
