i recently installed “golden dict” in openSUSE 12.1. unfortunately in system startup, golden dict automatically starts.
i have this problem with “workrave” application too.
how can i prevent this applications to start at startup?
In kde check the contents of
/.kde4/Autostart/
Thank you.
you mean i should remove “goldendict” and “workrave” from /.kde4/Autostart/?
is there any more user friendly user interface for doing this action (such as Msconfig in Windows)?
You can
or look in
system settings > system administration > startup and shutdown
i could not find /.kde4/Autostart/, i look at for .kde in root hidden files and found nothing, also i searched it in alt+f2 window and the following is it’s response:
Unable to run the command specified. The file or folder file:///.kde4/Autostart does not exist.
also i could not find system settings > system administration > startup and shutdown in KDE would you please tell me where is it?

It would be in your home directory, not root, ie., ~/.kde4/
From the CLI just do
cd .kde4
and you should be good…
