It is not actually question will it save money or not. Question is the price of signature of person responsible for equipment requisitions - as everywhere else on this planet.

Been reading that for years, getting the cusstomers of the future familiar with your software is important to sell it after all.
Same thing we’ve been hearing about Microsoft being rather lax in their ‘battle’ against illigal Windows versions as they’d rather have someone staying unfamiliar with other software.

Then again, everywhere money is involved dirty tricks are used.
