How many Repositories do I need?

I want to know if there repos can interfere with each other?
A complete list of repos in my system:

openSUSE 11.2 (debug, non oss, source, base, updates)
home:doiggl
games
packman.iu-breman.de
GNOME:Backports:2:30
GNOME:Factory
NVIDIA Repo
Packman Repo
X11:RemoteDesktop
VLC Repositories
PK_TMP_DIR

Long Story: I did a fresh install 11.2 over this weekend and found some
of my favorite programs/apps missing (e.g., vlc, mpg123, twolame, vncserver). I found some documentation here on how to install
VLC etc., which required adding a new repo to the list. Now I have
about half a dozen repos in addition to the original.

Thanks.
Harry

Comment on the list:
openSUSE 11.2 (debug, non oss, source, base, updates +oss)
home:doiggl your choice
games your choice, I have it too
packman.iu-breman.de **double see * **
GNOME:Backports:2:30 don’t
GNOME:Factory don’t
NVIDIA Repo if you have the hardware
Packman Repo **double see ***
X11:RemoteDesktop don’t
VLC Repositories only install libdvdcss, disable afterwards
PK_TMP_DIR your choice

After disabling the VLC repo, select the Packman repo in the software installer’s repo view, and hit “Switch system packages…” to avoid/solve conflicts with VLCrepo packages. The packages mentioned are all being served by Packman.

You certainly mean

openSUSE 11.2 (debug, non oss, source, base, updates +oss)

don’t you?

knurpht:

Thanks for your help.

I disabled the following repos:
backports/packman.iu-bremen.de/Factory/X11/VLC/home:doiggl

One more question. Do I need:
http://download.opensus.org/distribution/11.2/repo/oss/suse

Thanks.
Harry

This is how one thinks one can report out of ones head with a lot of typos what one thinks that may be on the system.

A simple copy/paste of the output of* zypper lr -d* between CODE tags is to easy.
