You mean like some USB sticks and memory cards? I’ve never heard of or seen such a program. It would mean the drive would have to be remounted read-only or read-write.
hello
i want to try it read-only, need config fstab or command linux? yes for pendrive also harddisk sata-usb combo… how i can do it block write when plug in (mount) pendrive or harddisk?
Google a little about the linux command “mount”. There is a parameter to use to make it read-only mount. -ro?
But it seems all usb pendrive is automatically mounted when you plug it in. Otherwise you can use Yast->partition manager and find that disk and do a little edit to the mount options, it’s the same with editing fstab in fact. You can see the change you’ve made after you used yast to edit the mount options. That is the sweet side of openSUSE.

If the disk has an fstab entry, then that disk will not mount
automatically, it will respect that entry. And in that entry you can
define that disk to be R/O.
However, it also means you have to mount the disk manually.
Alternatively, if you change the… is it udisk? rules, then you can do
whatever you wish. No, don’t ask me how to do it, I don’t know.

Sorry, I can not understand anything of your post. Could you explain it
better, please?
