How does one run Matlab in Opensuse 10.3?

Hallo!I have installed Matlab 7.R14 succesfully in my OpenSuse 10.3 in the directory usr/local/matlab7/.

I cannot find the program matlab on the start menu nor do I know a command to start matlab at the console.How do I start the Matlab application?

Hi,
normally the binary would be located in /usr/local/matlab7/bin, so you can try in console the following:

/usr/local/matlab7/bin/matlab

and if that works for you, you can create a shortcut on your desktop or add it to your main desktop menu.
